Blossom, packed with a blend of contrasting colours and pleasant aromas, is the revival of a short-lived season bringing in the utmost beauty to the mountain kingdom. The entire region presents mesmerizing natural scenery and is marked usually in March and April every year.  It usually begins with blooming almond trees followed by cherry, apricot, pear, and apple trees in Gilgit city and its immediate surroundings and gradually extends to the high-altitude valleys. The best way to observe the captivating beauty is to travel along the Karakoram Highway from Gilgit to Hunza-Nagar and along the Gilgit-Chitral road to Ghizer district to the south of Gilgit.
